FAQs

Why am I being asked to pay for my questionnaire?

You may be asked to pay for your questionnaire where payment is not covered by the buyer as part of the campaign.

Background

Whether you are required to pay depends on the payment arrangement for the campaign you have been invited to participate in.

You may be asked to pay for your questionnaire where payment is not covered by the buyer as part of the campaign. Once payment has been completed, 'Share Unlimited' will be activated, allowing you to proactively share your questionnaire with customers for the next 12 months and download your completed SAQ report.

Where payment is covered by the buyer, you will not be asked to make a payment.

Steps

To complete a required payment using your questionnaire:

  1. Sign in to your NQC account.
  2. On your Dashboard, locate the relevant questionnaire.
  3. If payment is not covered by the buyer as part of the campaign, you will be prompted to pay at the end of the questionnaire.
  4. If your questionnaire is already completed and payment is required, a red notification dot will appear on the 'Share' button on the questionnaire tile.
  5. Select the 'Share' button and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the payment.
  6. Once payment has been completed, 'Share Unlimited' will be activated for the questionnaire.

How can I find and review my outstanding minimum requirements?

Outstanding minimum requirements can be seen on the Overview page of your SAQ, and the specific details are located in the Answers screen.

Background

Buyers may define minimum requirements that must be met for compliance or visibility. The Overview page alerts you when these requirements are unmet, while the Answers screen shows which specific responses need attention.

Steps

  1. Sign in to your NQC account.
  2. Open your SAQ (Sustainability Assessment Questionnaire).
  3. Go to the Overview page to see whether any minimum requirements are outstanding.
  4. Navigate to the Answers screen.
  5. Review the highlighted questions that do not meet the buyer's minimum requirements.
  6. Update your responses where necessary and resend if applicable.

How can I see which buyer requested access to my questionnaire?

You can view buyer access requests from the Sharing section of your completed questionnaire.

Background

The Sharing section shows all buyers who have access to your questionnaire or who have requested access. This provides transparency and helps you understand which buyers are engaging with your organisation.

Steps

  1. Sign in to your NQC account.
  2. On your dashboard, open your completed questionnaire.
  3. Select the 'Shares' section.
  4. Review the list of buyers who have requested access or currently have access.

Why is my questionnaire showing the status "REQUESTED"?

Your questionnaire displays the status "REQUESTED" when there is an outstanding sharing request, buyer requirement, or action required before the questionnaire can progress.

This can happen for one of the following reasons:

- A sharing request is still pending.

- You have not yet met the minimum requirements set by a buyer.

- A buyer requirement you have already met is still affecting the questionnaire status.

- Your questionnaire is still in the responding stage and has not been sent for validation.

Background

The "REQUESTED" status indicates that an action or request associated with your questionnaire is still outstanding.

- Pending Sharing: A sharing request that is waiting to be accepted by either party can cause the questionnaire to show as "REQUESTED". Check for any pending sharing requests and accept them where appropriate. If you initiated the sharing request, contact the buyer to confirm that they have accepted it.

- Outstanding Requirements: NQC Support cannot view the specific outstanding requirements set by a buyer. If you believe you have met all requirements, check your questionnaire dashboard or contact your buyer directly.

- Already Met Requirements: In some cases, a buyer-set requirement may continue to affect the questionnaire status even though you currently meet the requirement. If this happens, contact your buyer directly and ask them to review or amend the requirement, as NQC Support cannot change or remove buyer-set requirements.

- Responding Stage: Check the final stage of your questionnaire to ensure that your latest changes have been sent. The Responding stage allows you to confirm whether further changes are required and send your SAQ for validation.

How can I delete a questionnaire I no longer need?

You can delete questionnaires from your organisation account, but first, you must deny any existing access that is associated with the questionnaire.

Background

You control your data on the platform, including deleting questionnaires. However, to prevent accidentally removing access for customers you've already shared data with, you must first deny access to the data before deleting the questionnaire itself.

Steps

To delete a questionnaire, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to your NQC account.
  2. On your 'Dashboard', find the questionnaire that you want to delete (use filters and search if needed).
  3. Select the questionnaire tile to go to the questionnaire overview page.
  4. Check the sharing status under the questionnaire rating on the questionnaire tile. If the questionnaire is not shared, select the delete button on the questionnaire tile and press 'Ok' to delete it.
  5. If the questionnaire is shared, select 'Shares' from the dropdown menu and click on the deny icon (marked as an 'X') for each customer with an accepted or requested share.
  6. Confirm your choice to deny the share when prompted (select 'Ok').
  7. Once all customer access has been denied, select the delete button on the questionnaire tile and press 'Ok' to delete the questionnaire.

How do I stop a customer from accessing a questionnaire?

You can change the sharing status on a questionnaire at any time including revoking access to a questionnaire that you have previously given a customer access to on the platform.

Background

You control your data on the platform, including which customers have access to which questionnaires.

Steps

To review who has access to a questionnaire and/or to remove access, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to your NQC account.
  2. On your 'Dashboard', find the questionnaire that you want to review access for (use filters and search if needed).
  3. Select the questionnaire tile to go to the questionnaire overview page.
  4. Select 'Shares' from the dropdown menu to view which customers currently have access and any pending share requests.
  5. If you want to remove access for a customer, select the deny icon (marked as an 'X') on the right side of the sharing tile.
  6. Confirm your choice to deny the share when prompted (select 'Ok').
  7. Once actioned, the customer will no longer have access to the questionnaire.

How can I share my completed questionnaire with a customer?

You can share your questionnaire in response to a customer's share request or by using an invitation code. If you want to proactively share an SAQ with customers without an invitation, you must first upgrade to 'Share unlimited'.

Background

The NQC platform allows you to securely share your questionnaire data with customers.

If a customer has requested access, you can respond to their share request or use the invitation code they have provided.

If you want to proactively share an SAQ without an invitation, you must take ownership of the questionnaire by making a one-time payment to upgrade to 'Share unlimited'. This allows you to proactively share the questionnaire with unlimited buyers for the next 12 months.

To share a questionnaire with a customer

Share using a customer request:

  1. Sign in to your NQC account.
  2. Find the questionnaire on your Dashboard (use filters and search if needed).
  3. Select the 'Share' button on the questionnaire tile.
  4. Review the customer's share request under 'Request summary'.
  5. Select the customer you want to share with.
  6. Select 'Share now' to complete the action.

Share using an invitation code:

  1. Sign in to your NQC account.

  6. Return to the Share screen and select 'Share unlimited'.
  7. Choose the customer you want to share the questionnaire with and complete the share.

My customer says they cannot see my questionnaire results, but I have shared it. What's wrong?

This can happen if your customer has not accepted your request to share your questionnaire or their access to it has expired.

Steps

You can ask your customer to check the access status of your questionnaire and if access has expired, they can renew access.

How do I share my questionnaire if I don't have an invitation code?

You can proactively share a questionnaire with a specific customer. They must accept your request.

Background

Your questionnaire answers are confidential. If you haven't received a direct invitation code from a customer but want to share your results with them, you can initiate the sharing process yourself. This sends a request to the customer, who must approve it before they can see your questionnaire data.

Steps

To proactively share your questionnaire without an invitation code:

  1. Sign in to your NQC account.
  2. Find the existing completed questionnaire (use filters and search if needed).
  3. Select the 'Share' button on the questionnaire tile.
  4. Choose the option to 'Search for a buyer'.
  5. Search for or find the customer who made the request or who you want to share your questionnaire with.
  6. Select 'Share' (the customer will be alerted to accept your request).

Who can view my questionnaire answers after I send them for validation?

Only users within your own organisation who have the 'Viewer' user permission (or higher) and any customers that you have shared the questionnaire response with can see your questionnaire response and results.

Background

Your questionnaire data is treated as confidential in accordance with the NQC platform terms. Access is controlled by you. Customers only see questionnaire responses and results that you share with them. User permissions determine which colleagues, within your organisation account, can view or edit the data.

Steps

To review who has access to a questionnaire, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to your NQC account.
  2. On your 'Dashboard', find the questionnaire that you want to review access for (use filters and search if needed).
  3. Select the questionnaire tile to go to the questionnaire overview page.
  4. Select 'Shares' from the dropdown menu to view which customers the questionnaire is currently shared with and any pending requests for sharing.
